Imus was just on his way out anyway...
Now if I had a radio show and my rating were down and I were about to retire what could I do to boost my ratings, get invited to apologize on every talk show and get a book deal about how sorry I am for not seeing the light. Just follow the money.
Dont get me wrong, I don't condone nor support what Imus said but if he wore a baseball cap sideways, loosened his belt and lowered his pants four inches & wore name brand sneakers unlaced then started his comments with "Yo, hey mama to all you nappy headed hoes out there, I just cant be widdout you", then those words would be terms of endearment (after all gansta rap is an art form that allows artistic renditions of words).
Added 5/2/07: Now talk about an easy retirement. With the pending lawsuit he gets paid without even showing up.
